SeniorNet was founded in 1986 as a non-profit organization committed to increasing the opportunity for and the success of computer instruction for older adults.  As the movement expanded from community to community from shore to shore, SeniorNet became a thriving global community of adults who come together to learn, share opinions and perspectives with each other and with other generations.

Through the generosity of local businesses and civic groups and the support of computer-savvy volunteers, this learning center, one of over 250 such centers, opened its doors January 2000.  Today the center continues its tradition of small classes, lots of one-on-one support, up-to-date equipment, and a volunteer staff that truly cares about the student and his/her individual learning needs.
